NH Hotel Group has revealed a first look at the upcoming nhow hotel in London, the first property to debut under the nhow banner in the UK. Slated to arrive in late summer 2019, the 190-room urban retreat will be positioned on City Road in Shoreditch in an effort to appeal to London’s creative communities.
The nhow London will adopt the theme “London Reloaded,” which will reinterpret classic elements of the city’s culture through a contemporary lens. Unexpected design elements will range from a Big Ben rocket statue or a robotic butler named Henry. Details like tables that feature cockney rhyming slang and oversized golden bell lights also infuse a dash of locally inspired whimsy. Each accommodation will be adorned with contemporary artwork that echoes the urban identity of London, while graffiti elements appear inside alongside unique depictions of former monarchs. Spread across the hotel’s top floor, the Royal Garden suite will serve the property’s deluxe accommodation.
In addition to the existing nhow property in Marseilles, France, the nhow London footprint will soon grow to five properties in European markets such as Berlin, Milan, Rotterdam. Outposts in Amsterdam, Brussels, and Frankfurt, Germany are slated to arrive in 2020 and 2021, while hotels in Rome, Lima, Peru, and Santiago, Chile will be rolled out across the next three years.
